Innovations
Every project poses a unique set of problems to be solved by the professional
engineer. Often, there is no tried and true method, standard or procedure
for handling specific situations. Robert W. Sullivan, Inc. has developed
innovations in engineering over the years, some of which have become industry
standards.
- For a large medical complex with exacting air quality standards,
we designed moisture sensing devices and an alarm system guaranteeing
reliable performance.
- At a computer facility for a national insurance company we used cooling
tower water to preheat domestic hot water.
- The treated effluent from a prestigious New England college was designed
to be stored during winter and disposed of by overland flow during summer
months.
- On the site of the corporate headquarters of a high technology company,
all surface runoff was recharged to the underlying aquifer.
- The foam system for a fire and crash station at an international airport
was designed to be reliable and capable of near-instant response.
