Project Spotlight:

Children's HospitalChildren's Hospital Boston

RWS was involved with the construction completion of two high-rise medical buildings (Research and Clinical) at Children's Medical Center in 2006. The clinical building is shown here and it included state-of-the-art operating rooms, treatment rooms, and inpatient facilities. We are in the process of designing several new spaces at the hospital as a result of this project. These projects include: The Enders Enhancement Main Building project, Fegan 9, main building bed re-aggregation and lobby renovations, and Pavillion 2, Peri-Operative.

R. W. Sullivan Engineering's Green Building Philosophy

U.S Green Building MemberR. W. Sullivan recognizes the role of the engineering disciplines in the design of sustainable, high performance buildings, and strives to achieve cost-effective energy efficient solutions at all times. We have undertaken an in-house Interdisciplinary Sustainability Initiative which meets regularly to discuss the design process as it relates to energy conservation, indoor air quality, and life-cycle cost analysis. We believe that the future of the construction industry as well as the planet require close attention to all of the energy implications of each design decision. Our emphasis on collaboration, holistic thinking, and knowledge-sharing provide a sound basis for these informed decisions.
